Going Local II
DG INFSO will soon be embarking on its Going Local II series of visits to the member states. In addition , to visiting capital cities , there will be some regional visits as result of the feedback from WS24 at the Digital Agenda Assembly. Details of the proposed visits can be found under the country name on the left. Please add comments here particularly on the subjects to be discussed.
There is a plan to build an online activity around each of the visits and we will be making some proposals to DG/INFSO in the next week. If you would like to help or get involved , please email vin.sumner@clicks andlinks.com My objective would be to build a wide group for each country contributing both locally and centrally to issues that need addressing.

Comment from Will Perrin in UK william@talkaboutlocal.org
happy at some point in this visit to give an overview of grass roots hyperlocal web activity in the uk, commercial and non commercial as a show and tell
could do something in birmingham or london
it’s particularly important that Cion see there is a viable grass roots alternative to traditional regulated media as the business model for the latter continues to struggle especially in the uk
I can help with grass roots web contacts in some of the other touch down points – esp cardiff, edinburgh, manchester
I Chaired the OECD expert group on e-government for several years and was a regular UK delegation lead to any number of EU committees and working groups in the tech space.
