The aim of this proposal is to empower SME in the European Cities with the help of ICT technologies. 

Economic change has left its visible footprints in cities, regions and counties in Europe. The competitiveness today is linked to the price of production factors, where Europe can not compete with the Asia area but also it is linked to the capacity to get markets. The capacity of a SMEs to be on new market, to find new customers of their products and services make them stronger face to the crisis. Cities and Regions are developing different ICT Tools for the promotion of SMEs but with any connection among them.

EMPOWERING-SME network will share actions and practices in how can SMEs make them visible in markets, showing to the word their innovative capacity, skills, products and services  in a open global economy.
The objective of EMPOWERING-SME is to generate a common internet channel and a ICT infrastructure, where:
- partner can share an put at the same place different ICT tools empowering local or regional SMEs.
- This channel EMPOWORING-SME will be a common platform where SME can give information on text, videos, audio or in any format about their company, news, products, events for a international marketing process and cooperation. This channel will unify all local initiatives developed in European cities and therefore the channel will profit from local efforts involving SMEs in common promotional actions. The EMPOWERING-SME opportunity will be more than a promotional tool. Will be the channel for empowering SMEs in European Cities.
- The channel EMPOWERING-SME will develop also a common ICT infrastructure that will be  ambient, personalised to the users, context- sensitive and ubiquitous that will be placed as a common promotional infrastructure at the local scenarios.
A prototype of this empowering SME system have been developed in the city of Sevilla profiting from the Internet platform Sevilla una Economia en Persona-SEP (www.sevillaenpersona.es) that has been included in a network of e-points in the city (airport, Congress Palace, Universities, the Science and technological park and local incubator).
Through an initiative as EMPOWERING-SME economic local scenarios can be promote among other local scenarios.
